Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to work across South Manchester secondary schools. The role involves leading classes in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set lesson plans, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Flexible short-term, long-term, and potential permanent opportunities are available with a strong work-life balance. Start date is September 2026 with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools.
• Ability to lead classes in the absence of the teacher and deliver pre-set lesson plans.
• Maintain a calm, focused learning environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Provide suitable references and have Enhanced DBS; demonstrate Right to Work in the UK.

The School and the Role

Vision for Education are recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary school settings.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for leading classes in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set lesson plans and maintaining a positive learning environment. You'll support students with their work, manage behaviour effectively, complete registers, and provide clear handover information to teaching staff.

To be considered for this Cover Supervisor role, you must:

• Have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools
• Be confident managing classrooms and maintaining a calm, focused learning environment
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be committed to supporting young people's learning and development
• Be able to provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS, and have the Right to Work in the UK
