A local educational institution in Cannock is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to supervise classes and assist within their SEND department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging with young people and possess strong teaching skills. This full-time, temporary position starts in January 2026, offering a salary between £25,989 and £27,254 pro rata during term time. Applicants should ensure they comply with safeguarding regulations.

Grade 5, NJC points 6‑9. (£25,989 – £27,254) pro rota Term Time. Required from January 2026.
To supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, including implementing work programmes, managing pupil behaviour and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
When not supervising teaching classes, you will undertake teaching assistant duties within our SEND department under the direction of the SENDCO/Assistant SENDCO.
We are seeking a self‑motivated, flexible candidate to take on the role of cover supervisor. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young people and has the confidence to deliver lessons in an engaging way to motivate our students during a teacher’s absence.
