Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary school in Salford. The role requires delivering pre-planned lessons to KS3/KS4 classes, maintaining a positive classroom environment and ensuring students stay on task in the teacher's absence.

The position is full-time, long-term temporary, paid day rate. The ideal candidate will have experience with secondary students, strong behaviour management and excellent communication and organisation skills.

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £120 - £150 per day

Do you have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to keep students engaged with their learning?

Are you adaptable, reliable and comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School in Salford who are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. The school provides education for students across KS3 and KS4 and is looking for a confident individual who can create a positive and productive classroom environment.

The school is looking to take on a Cover Supervisor on a full-time, long-term temporary basis, supporting classes across KS3 and KS4. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned work, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged and on task in the absence of their usual teacher.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with secondary school students or young people
• Experience supporting students across KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A confident and adaptable approach
• A positive, professional attitude
