Job description

GR Employment Ltd is looking for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our customers in Edinburgh (EH28 8PA). The correct candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers.

The Courier role is key to ensuring that the company’s principles and ethos are demonstrated at all times, with a strong focus on delivering service with speed, passion, and a can‑do attitude.

You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, which requires flexibility and the ability to work under pressure. You will be required to complete 50 to 80 drops per day.

The working shift is Monday to Friday, starting at 08:00, with a total of 45 hours per week. Any hours worked beyond 45 will be paid at time and a half.

This is a temporary placement; however, for the right candidate, this position could become permanent.

Responsibilities

As a Courier Driver, you will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time‑definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the company, you are expected to carry out all tasks with a strong customer‑focused approach.

You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer requirements. While you will be assigned a specific geographical route, you may be required to change routes occasionally to meet business needs.

You will also be responsible for scanning and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met. The role demands the ability to make sound decisions and perform well under pressure.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in a multi‑drop courier role would be preferred, but not essential
• Security Training will be given when required
