Job Description

Turner & Townsend alinea is recruiting a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor within our Real Estate team to support blue-chip clients in achieving their global workplace objectives. This role offers opportunities to work with a third of the Fortune 500 companies and grow within a market-leading business.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, client-facing, and capable of managing multiple projects and clients. Responsibilities include client relations management, advanced Excel modeling, functional cost planning, and value engineering of CAT A and CAT B fit-outs. The role is primarily pre-construction, with potential involvement in construction phases.

The position involves working within a growing team of Cost Managers alongside external architects, interior designers, and engineers where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize existing digital tools developed by Turner & Townsend alinea and contribute to creating new bespoke tools for clients
• Perform advanced cost modeling using Excel
• Estimate and perform functional cost planning using CostX
• Advise and promote value engineering
• Coordinate with internal economists, clients, and other consultants
• Engage with senior leadership of Fortune 500 companies

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality cost management / quantity surveying services on CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects for corporate clients
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for cost modeling
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software is advantageous
• Proficiency with digital software for cost management services
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively
• Working towards a professional qualification (RICS or similar)
• Degree or HNC qualification or equivalent
