Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor - Water / Utilities

We are currently seeking personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Cost Managers/Quantity Surveyors to join our team, supporting our growth in the water/utilities sector and making a difference to UK infrastructure.

You will be a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor within our UK Infrastructure business, working on various client and internal projects and initiatives.

Job Objectives:

1. Contribute to Turner & Townsend’s 2025 vision.
2. Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project parties.
3. Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
4. Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
5. Monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow proactively.
6. Collaborate with teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
7. Manage contract changes effectively, ensuring governance and best practices.
8. Improve forecast and budget accuracy.
9. Provide sound commercial support to stakeholders.
10. Negotiate and agree final accounts.
11. Lead people and projects as needed.

Preferred experience or understanding in:

• Contract Management (NEC3, Option C preferred)
• Cost Management
• Change management
• Valuation
• Procurement
• Reporting
• Collaborative approach and project-focused attitude
• Commission management
• Efficiency improvements throughout project lifecycle
• Construction industry technical knowledge, including procurement routes, value management, and engineering

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (preferred)
• Professional body membership or working towards it (preferred)
