Job summary

Holmes Care Group LTD is seeking a Cook to produce varied, tasty menus for our residents while accommodating dietary requirements and maintaining high kitchen cleanliness. You will prepare and serve meals and help manage stock and safety documentation.

Experience as a Cook with relevant Food Hygiene Certificates is essential; opportunity exists to train and progress within a supportive, values-driven team.

• Experience working as a Cook with ability to accommodate dietary requirements.
• Hold relevant qualifications and Food Hygiene Certificates.

Responsibilities

• Producing varied, tasty menus for residents while considering dietary requirements.
• Provide special diets where necessary.
• Cleaning and washing up after meals and ensuring kitchen cleanliness.
• Preparing and serving meals.
• Guiding and coaching the kitchen team.
• Stock control; stock replenishing/ordering.
• Managing Food Health and Safety requirements and maintaining documentation.

What does the day of a Cook look like?

• Producing varied, tasty menus for our residents, whilst also considering individual dietary requirements
• To provide special diets where necessary
• Cleaning and washing up after meals and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the kitchen
• Preparing and serving meals
• Guiding and coaching the kitchen team
• Stock control; stock replenishing/ordering
• Managing Food Health and Safety requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and up to date

To be considered for this role you will need to have experience working as a Cook, with the ability to accommodate a variety of dietary requirements. In addition, we expect you to hold all the relevant qualifications and Food Hygiene Certificates, and that you are aware of all the relevant regulations.
