Holmes Care Group is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. You will prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals, accommodate dietary requirements, and maintain high kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.

You will lead and support the kitchen team, manage stock and ordering, and ensure documentation meets health and safety regulations. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Formación

• Experience working as a Cook, preferably in care settings.
• Holding relevant Food Hygiene Certificates and complying with regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Producing varied, tasty menus for residents with dietary requirements.
• Provide special diets where necessary.
• Cleaning and washing up after meals and ensuring kitchen cleanliness.
• Preparing and serving meals.
• Guiding and coaching the kitchen team.
• Stock control; stock replenishing/ordering; managing Food Health and Safety docs.

What does the day of a Cook look like?

Our Cooks play a key role in serving nutritious home cooked meals, whilst also maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety:

• Producing varied, tasty menus for our residents, whilst also considering individual dietary requirements
• To provide special diets where necessary
• Cleaning and washing up after meals and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the kitchen
• Preparing and serving meals
• Guiding and coaching the kitchen team
• Stock control; stock replenishing/orderingManaging Food Health and Safety requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and up to date

To be considered for this role you will need to have experience working as a Cook, with the ability to accommodate a variety of dietary requirements. In addition, we expect you to hold all the relevant qualifications and Food Hygiene Certificates, and that you are aware of all the relevant regulations.
