Our client, a law practice with two offices in Northumberland, has enjoyed a presence in the region for over 150 years. Specialising in Property, Personal and Family Law, they now seek a Conveyancing Secretary for their Morpeth office.

As Conveyancing Secretary, you will:

  • Carry out audio typing, printing, scanning, and management of client files
  • Draft and prepare various legal forms, contracts, and transfer deeds
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors via phone, email, and letter
  • Open, manage, and close client files using the firm's case management system
  • Perform and follow up on local authority and Land Registry searches for property information
  • Book appointments, arrange meetings, and manage the calendars of fee earners
  • Use Land Registry portals for online applications and registrations, as well as manage electronic communications
  • Handle new client enquiries, and update clients on their matters

As Conveyancing Secretary, you will need:

  • Strong organisational skills to manage files efficiently
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, digital dictation systems, and case management software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail when preparing documents and managing files
