Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in Brackley, UK, offers a year-in-industry placement within the Control Systems Department from mid-2027 to mid-2028. You will work on embedded control software, real-time systems, data analysis and tooling, with mentorship from experienced engineers to deliver meaningful contributions to car performance.

Qualifications

• Be studying a relevant engineering discipline, ideally with some specialisation in control systems.
• We are also interested in applicants from adjacent disciplines such as physics, maths, data science or machine learning.

Responsibilities

• You will be supported by experienced engineers while taking ownership of meaningful work.
• Contribute to projects that directly support car performance, reliability and development efficiency.
• Develop and release control system software using Model Based Design in MATLAB/Simulink.
