Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in Brackley, UK, is offering a placement year in the Planning and Programme Department. You will support engineering test programmes, develop dashboards and automate reporting, and collaborate across Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Test to drive improvements.

You will gain experience in programme engineering, data analysis, automation and cost analysis within a high-performance Formula One environment.

Qualifications

• Studying towards Engineering Management, Business Engineering, Manufacturing or Data Science.
• Must be undertaking a placement year as part of the degree programme.
• Must have at least one year of study remaining following the placement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the delivery of engineering test programmes across multiple departments.
• Develop dashboards, reports, planning tools and automation solutions to improve visibility.
• Analyse programme data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing and planning teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain project documentation, action trackers and performance metrics.
• Support cost analysis activities including data quality improvements, process optimisation and automation.
• Work with Finance and Cost Analysts to standardise practices and ensure consistent methodologies.
