Job summary

The Electronics Department at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in Brackley is offering a year-long placement from late June 2027 to late July 2028. You will work on analogue and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and system verification, learning from a team operating at the cutting edge of Formula One electronics.

You will take ownership of projects with support from staff, focusing on real-world electronics challenges and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: interest in analogue, digital, RF or power electronics design, software and embedded systems, PCB design and layout, circuit testing or fault finding, mechanical or electro-mechanical design, wiring harness design.
• Must have at least one year remaining on current course or be enrolled on next course from placement start.
• Take ownership of work with initiative and independence; be adaptable and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Work on analogue and digital circuit design and PCB layout.
• Engage in system testing, verification, and fault finding.
• Contribute to electro-mechanical design and wiring harness development.
