Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking a Control Room Operator to join our Head Office team at Chester Business Park. The role involves monitoring staff activity, assisting with shift coverage and supporting CCTV and alarm response to maintain secure operations.

This hands-on position offers a clear progression path to a Duty Controller role, backed by training via the Anchor Academy and ongoing professional development. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Full 5-year employment checkable history.
• Valid frontline SIA licence DS, SG or CCTV.
• Excellent IT skills & computer literacy.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Timegate, Immix, Team, SharePoint and Office would be a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate multiple site systems and monitoring booking on/off check calls.
• Identify unfilled shifts and contact available staff when required.
• Respond to unplanned absences or staffing issues by reallocating staff or calling in relief personnel.
• Record and escalate issues with check calls, absences, or incidents.
• Communicate clearly with on-site teams regarding shift changes.
• Monitor site-based security and cleaning teams using available information.
• Log and record information using IT systems per processes and guidance.
• Provide information and guidance to relevant parties in a timely manner.
