Job summary

Guide Security Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated Control Room Operator for our Blackburn monitoring centre. The role operates on a 4 on/4 off pattern (42-hour week) covering day and night shifts, delivering 24/7 security services for a range of clients.

Ideal candidates will have CCTV monitoring experience, a valid SIA CCTV License Level 2, and a calm, decisive approach under pressure. We offer a competitive salary, overtime, and opportunities for progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

Requires valid SIA CCTV License Level 2 and be 18+ years old.
Prior experience in CCTV monitoring in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to stay composed under pressure and make quick decisions.
Self-starting attitude with ability to work independently.
Flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Manage controlled access to client sites using Video Management Systems.
Monitor and respond to electronic alarm signals promptly and professionally.
Deliver excellent customer care through clear and courteous telephone communication.
Liaise with emergency services when required, following operational protocols.
Produce clear, accurate, and timely written reports.
Work within a disciplined team environment focused on security and service excellence.
