Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking a Control Room Manager to oversee complex conflicts of interest and information barriers, applying risk-based judgement across the bank. You will build strong networks with stakeholders at varying seniorities and deliver data-led guidance on Market Abuse and Conflicts risk.

You will provide policy expertise, identify emerging risks, escalate significant issues, and drive improvements in control room processes while collaborating across teams to evolve the function.

Qualifications

• Strong compliance advisory background with regulatory knowledge of market abuse and related frameworks.
• Experience in second line of defence and risk management.
• Ability to identify themes, risks and control gaps through MI and horizon scanning.
• Ability to escalate issues to senior management and drive remediation.

Responsibilities

• Providing data-led oversight and advice on Market Abuse and Conflicts risk management.
• Providing subject matter expertise to bank-wide control teams on policies, systems and processes.
• Identifying themes, emerging risks and control gaps through MI and horizon scanning.
• Escalating significant issues to senior compliance management and remediating with them.
• Providing regulatory and policy advice to employees and colleagues, including input into procedures.
• Applying risk-based approach to management and escalation of conflicts and information barrier issues.
• Driving continuous improvement and automation across Control Room processes and controls.
