Job summary

RBS is seeking a Control Room Manager to lead risk-based decisions on conflicts of interest and to oversee information barriers between the bank’s private and public sides. You will work with senior stakeholders to minimise regulatory risk and support the control room’s evolving governance framework.

You will provide data-driven advice on Market Abuse, ensure adherence to policies, and drive improvements across control room processes while managing a demanding workload with a strong compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in second line of defence risk management.
• Knowledge of regulatory oversight frameworks and horizon scanning.
• Ability to analyse complex issues and balance risk.
• Familiarity with policies, controls and risk management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage complex conflicts of interest.
• Apply risk-based judgement to sensitive scenarios.
• Establish, monitor and oversee information barriers.
• Provide data-led oversight on Market Abuse and Conflicts risk.
• Advise on Control Room policies, systems and processes.
• Escalate issues to senior compliance management.
