Responsibilities and duties of the Control and Instrumentation Engineer role
  • Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will :
  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across control systems, instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Manage the site DCS, including alarms, logic changes, system checks and contractor support.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, engineering and legislative standards, including ATEX / DSEAR and functional safety requirements.
  • Improve plant reliability through structured analysis and proactive engineering actions.
  • Support site safety programmes, audits and investigations.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to colleagues.
  • Lead engineering projects and manage change processes.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and engineering procedures.
