Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting a Contracts Manager for Witham, UK, with travel across the UK and occasional nights away. You will oversee subcontract installation works from instruction to completion, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role requires experience in contracts/project management within construction or manufacturing, effective stakeholder liaison, and willingness to travel extensively across the UK. 8–5 with occasional out-of-hours work is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in contracts/ project management within construction, manufacturing, installations or subcontracted environments.
• Experience leading multiple workstreams across sites from planning to completion.
• Strong knowledge of site operations, QA and safe systems of work.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and work instructions.
• Excellent organization, planning, and deadline management.
• Strong communication with customers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee subcontract installation works from start to finish.
• Visit sites to resolve queries and variations with action plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors to meet specifications and timelines.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety and compliance on site.
• Perform post-completion inspections to verify contract compliance.
• Act as main operations contact for customers and resolve issues.
• Provide updates to the Operations Manager on progress and risk.
• Support office teams to ensure smooth contract delivery.
• Attend project reviews and client meetings.
• Provide cover during absences as needed.
