Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Installation Manager to oversee installation activities across customer sites in the UK. The role involves managing site operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery aligned with project requirements, and regular travel with six-month project cycles.

You will work closely with Project Managers, customers, contractors and engineering teams to keep projects progressing smoothly and to resolve issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background with experience in installation activities.
• Experience in site-based engineering roles.
• Experience managing contractors and engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM requirements.
• Ability to understand project programmes and drive solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Hands-on, practical approach to site management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all contractors on site.
• Monitor progress and keep projects on track.
• Act as main customer contact on site.
• Lead regular stand-up meetings and site communications.
• Identify and resolve installation and operational issues.
• Carry out safety audits and ensure health & safety procedures.
• Produce weekly site reports.
• Manage large installation teams up to 100 engineers.
• Develop dedicated installation resource and reduce contractor reliance.
• Support continuous improvement and efficient ways of working.
