Job description
Aker Solutions in Dyce, Aberdeen are looking for a materials/logistics coordinator for Jackdaw HUC.

The role will be based onshore; however some ad-hoc offshore trips are expected.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

The role holder is overall responsible for:

  • Collection and mobilisation of all equipment, material,
    prefabricated items to be utilised in the site scope of work according to planned activities and/or material requests.
  • All movements of items to and from the site from PO specified delivery site.
  • All movement of items as consumables, prefabricated items, own equipment and tools and finally hired equipment movements to and from the site from point of delivery/pickup.
  • To attend the offshore installation as and when required.
MAIN TASKS

The role holder shall on own initiative:

PROJECT EXECUTION MODEL:

  • Ensure required personal PEM knowledge and participate in PEM introduction/training as required, with special focus on Procedures and Work Instructions.

ORGANISATION:

  • Participate in teambuilding activities within the organisation, as required.
  • Focus on and contribute to a HSSE&Q mind set within the organisation.

SCOPE OF WORK / CONTRACT:

  • Obtain basic knowledge of the mechanism of the contract.
  • Manage the budget for the indirect material and supplier equipment.

PLANS AND BUDGETS:

  • Ensure establishment and maintainance of a store of consumables at site.

REPORTING:

  • Ensure up to date overview and timely reports over all PO’s material, fabricated items, tools and rental equipments in accordance with planned activities.
  • Immediately report discrepancies which may influence on the plan to nearest superior allowing for rescheduling of work or compensating actions.
  • Report to nearest superior all matters of importance.
  • Ensure collection of experience data and provide logistic input to project experience report.

EXECUTION:

  • Up front of planned requirements, track and follow up all deliveries to site, establish status reports and communicate close with the providers.
  • Keep close contact to all suppliers of equipment, material and eventually prefabricated items in order to achieve optimal control of the deliveries.
  • To attend the offshore installation as and when required on an Adhoc basis.
  • Keep close contact with the Project Engineering teams both onshore and offshore to ensure all materials, equipment, tooling and rental equipment arrives in time to meet the requirement as per the offshore workplan.
  • Ensure that rental equipment and tools are planned, used and off hired on a cost optimal basis.
  • Keep close contact with the project Buyer for PO deliveries in order to achieve optimal control of the site requirements.
  • Ensure good communication with the Client’s logistic personnel in order to secure the requirements as need dates, shippling and load-out requirements, storage needs etc.
  • Influence and manage all activities in order to achieve low hourly consumable material cost.
  • Keep the relevant records in the project computer system updated at all time reflecting the real situation and allowing for an effective and correct planned performance.
  • Implement corrective actions as necessary / as agreed.
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the line manager.
