Overview

Role Overview

We are seeking an organised and experienced Contract Specialist to play a key role in managing contract hand-back and transition activities within a highly regulated defence environment.

This position offers excellent opportunities for training and career progression and would suit a candidate with strong contract management, stakeholder engagement, and programme coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support audits, reviews, and governance meetings related to contract transitions
  • Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones throughout the exit lifecycle
  • Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate, including O&M manuals, compliance certificates, and maintenance records
  • Lead and coordinate contractual termination with stake
  • Ensure all contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and legal duties are met
  • Work closely with internal teams to verify accuracy and completeness of contract deliverables
  • Maintain and manage the hand-back programme plan, risk register, and associated documentation

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in contract management, ideally including contract expiry, transition, or hand-back phases
  • Eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance
  • Ideally but not essential, good understanding of PPP / PFI models, contract law, and asset lifecycle obligations
  • Experience supporting or delivering projects or programmes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical, legal, and contractual documentation
  • Full UK driving licence
