Job summary

Mission Search is seeking an experienced HR Advisor on a fixed-term basis for a social care provider in Harrogate. You will bring expert employee relations and generalist HR skills to support managers across allocated areas.

You will base in Harrogate with three days in the office and two from home, and you will line manage an HR Assistant with support from the HR Manager. The role offers a salary of £32,000pa plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience handling HR casework with practical advice to managers.
• Knowledge of disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence processes.
• Experience supporting investigations, hearings, and case documentation.
• Experience line-managing an HR Assistant and coordinating workloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters.
• Support managers with investigations, hearings, formal correspondence and case documentation.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding, ensuring checks are completed.
• Support probation reviews, flexible working, family leave and reasonable adjustments.
• Monitor right-to-work, visa expiry dates and workforce compliance activity.
• Maintain accurate case records and prepare workforce trend reports.
• Manage HR Assistant’s workload and quality of work.
