Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd in West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a large, established business for 12 months. You will report to the HR Business Partner, supporting a broad range of HR generalist activities while driving the HR agenda across the region.

The role covers advising managers and staff on policies, monitoring absenteeism, maintaining HRIS records, supporting recruitment, and assisting with disciplinary, absence, grievance and redundancy matters.

Qualifications

• Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards.
• Proven experience of working as generalist HR Advisor, ideally in a commercial fast paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience in building relationships and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with employees at all levels.
• Ability to use own initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Accurate and timely delivery of tasks with good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
• Monitor absenteeism and report monthly, addressing issues promptly.
• Maintain employee records via the HRIS system.
• Resolve queries and log where appropriate.
• Identify and suggest areas for improvement.
• Support onboarding and leaver lifecycle processes.
• Maintain up-to-date records for pension, sickness, holiday, payroll and recruitment.
• Support recruitment when required.
• Advise on disciplinary, absence, grievance and redundancy meetings.
• Assist the HR Director and team on people plans and HR projects.
• Provide high-quality service and build credible stakeholder relationships.
• Draft offer letters and contracts and manage new starters/leavers processes.
• Liaise with payroll to keep records accurate.
