Contentious Probate - Solicitor (NQ+)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Solicitor to join a unique and expanding Contentious Probate team, handling high-value and complex inheritance disputes across England and Wales.

Title- Associate
Location- Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary- Dependant on Experience
Previous Experience- Contentious Probate or Civil Litigation (NQ+)
You will manage a caseload of contested probate and trust matters, including both High Court and County Court proceedings, often involving High Profile multi-party or jurisdictional issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Running a varied caseload of Inheritance Act, will challenges, executor disputes and trust litigation
  • Advising clients on prospects, risk and costs
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement proposals
  • Managing cases in line with internal protocols and client expectations
  • Attending hearings, mediations and client meetings
Supporting business development and mentoring junior team members

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
  • Experience in contentious probate or strong litigation background with a genuine interest in this area
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Client-focused with a proactive and commercial mindset
  • Able to work independently and manage deadlines under pressure
