Job description

This is a seconded position, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by ITAC but work full-time on assignment with one of our clients. While day-to-day responsibilities will be managed on-site with the client, ITAC provides ongoing support, resources, and benefits as your employer. This position is project based work so hours may vary, likely increasing after getting started and requires the employee to be on the client's Richmond, VA site. This position may also require some night, and weekend work based on project deadlines as well as longer workdays due to plant shutdowns. Objective

We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in leading construction management and administrative efforts across industrial projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with safety practices, industry standards, and alignment with project objectives. This role involves communication and collaboration with multiple project managers.

Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets for projects.
  • Track process improvement costs and report variances.
  • Assist in execution planning, risk identification, and mitigation strategies for production readiness.
Administrative
  • Participate in estimating, cost analysis, and sales support for industrialization projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
  • Communication with multiple project managers.
Education
  • Bachelors in Construction or Engineering Discipline preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years in construction management or construction administration supporting projects.
  • Experience building schedules.
  • Familiarity with multidiscipline project environments and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Experience in manufacturing and industrial construction environments.
  • Experience with manufacturing plant shutdowns.
Skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and applicable safety standards.
  • Knowledge of general plant safety requirements (including, hot work permits, lock-out tag-out, etc.)
  • Knowledge of permitting through AHJs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production and process issues under pressure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
