Job Title: Conference & Events Sales Executive - Central
Location: Multiple Venues, Bristol
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Working across a collection of unique venues located in the South West, joining a corporate hospitality sales team, curating memorable experiences for customers. As a Sales Executive, you are at the heart of our operation, and we are looking for individuals who share our energy and passion to convert event sales bookings and revenue. You’ll be working as part of our fantastic sales team and ensuring all customer’s needs are met and their expectations are exceeded, with a focus on increasing corporate event business

The role will include conducting site visits through to meeting customers to establish final details whilst ensuring every customer receives a high standard of service from start to finish. Accountable for ensuring all event orders and supporting documents are detailed and accurate before handing over to the operations team as well as ensuring that invoices are raised, and payments received in line with company payment terms. You will be proactive in gaining and responding to customer feedback and securing repeat bookings through post event calls.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting sales activities including responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries
  • Following up on all enquiries within a specific time scale with an aim to convert to confirmed bookings
  • To secure venue show rounds for the BDM’s and Event Planners
  • To achieve agreed sales targets by driving conversion
  • Issuing contracts to customers once bookings are converted
  • Ensuring all details and requirements of confirmed bookings are handed over accurately to the Event Planner
  • Cross-selling – multi location proposals in and around Bristol venues
  • Proactive calls focusing on past bookers, lost and turned down enquiries and lapsed accounts
  • To always be aware of sales activity/initiatives of our competitors and use this market intelligence, acting upon it to ensure RA Venues obtains its market share in this sector
  • To maintain accurate, up-to-date reports and information
  • To maintain the Delphi FDC booking system compliance benchmark
  • To maintain the Sandown Mystery Shop benchmark
  • To maintain relationships with regional agent accounts through telephone and direct mail activity
  • Support innovative campaigns for the Sales and Marketing plan
  • To achieve and exceed agreed national sales campaign targets
  • Opportunity to attend local/national FAM Trips and Showcases
  • Always responding positively and efficiently to customers, ensuring repeat business is optimised
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as directed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a proactive enquiry handling sales role, preferably within a high-profile Conference & Events venue, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Previous experience of a dairy management system
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the Bristol market
  • Multi-site selling experience
  • High degree of commercial awareness and to be able to understand links between sales and profit
  • Knowledge of Delphi/ Salesforce CRM
