Job summary

Glasgow Westerwood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is seeking a proactive Conference & Events leader to drive a busy meetings, banqueting and weddings operation just outside Glasgow in Cumbernauld. You will manage the Conference & Events team to uphold brand standards and deliver exceptional guest experiences while maximizing revenues.

Working closely with the Events & Group Sales teams, you will plan, coordinate and execute events from start to finish, mentoring staff and ensuring food and beverage

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is required.
• Experience in busy meetings & events, banqueting and weddings venues is essential.
• People management experience is required.
• Up to date with food & beverages trends and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Conference & Events team and work with your team to uphold brand standards and maximise revenues.
• Plan and execute each event in collaboration with the Events & Group Sales team to meet client expectations.
• Mentor staff and ensure high standards of service across all events.

What will I do?

Responsible for leading the Conference & Events team, you’ll lead from the front and work together with your team to ensure brand standards are adhered to, the guest experience is to a very high standard and revenues are maximised at every opportunity. Working closely with the Events & Group Sales team to plan and execute each event, meeting the client’s expectations.
