Full time , Permanent Northampton Competitive Ref No: IPRS7330 Our well-established client has a vacancy for a Compliance Manager. The role is full-time and office based. Ideally the successful candidate will have an understanding of the rules & regulations governing legal practice.

Responsibilities
  • SRA Handbook & the Code of Conduct
  • Renewal of Practising Certificates
  • Anti-Money Laundering
  • Health & Safety
  • Data Protection
  • Legal 500
  • Risk Assessment
  • Supporting the COLP & COFA
  • Training all staff on risk & compliance updates
  • Filing of Annual Returns & all other Companies House Registrations
  • Day to day focus on regulatory risk & compliance as set out by the SRA
  • Ensuring the file reviews are completed
  • Induction & training for new employees on mandatory risk & compliance
  • Management & maintenance of a risk & compliance policy & register
  • Managing the Lexcel accreditation
  • Assisting in auditing & updating of the company staff handbook
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a compliance environment is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work, with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Professional telephone manner, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • Capability to handle pressure and effectively prioritize tasks whilst managing a demanding workload
