Role: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Stockton
Pay Rate: 90-110 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Stockton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of complex learning, behavioural, and physical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex needs
  • Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting learning materials
  • Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting personal care and mobility needs where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to student progress reviews
Requirements
  • Must have previous experience working with complex needs (school, care, or similar setting)
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and resilient
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to working full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to purchase one)
