Job summary

Riverside is hiring a Support Worker to join our team at Westmoor House, Camden. You will provide structured support to customers, help with budgeting, benefits, and moving on to more permanent housing while maintaining thorough records and safeguarding practices.

The role requires resilience, empathy, and the ability to work as part of a team across a rolling rota including weekends. Flexible hours and lone working may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering structured support and risk management.
• Understanding barriers faced by vulnerable groups.
• Caring, empathetic, flexible team player.
• Possess lived experience of homelessness or addiction is a plus.
• Able to flex hours and work lone shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Co-produce bespoke support and move-on plans with stakeholders.
• Regularly review support and risk plans.
• Engage customers to meet outcomes and develop life skills.
• Assist with tenancy-related matters.
• Identify opportunities for employment, education and training and remove barriers.
• Signpost to external support services including food banks.
• Support customers to be tenancy-ready and financially independent.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and escalate risks when needed.
• Record and update clear customer information on the required system.
• Facilitate referrals and assess potential new customers.
• Contribute to housing management including income collection.
