Job summary

Riverside is hiring a Relief Worker to deliver high-quality, customer-focused support in our supported housing settings. You will assist in providing care and promoting the dignity and wellbeing of residents, while maintaining confidentiality and working under direction with the scheme manager and team.

The role requires flexibility to cover shifts, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Compassionate, patient, reliable and empathetic.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
• Flexible and approachable with a positive attitude.
• Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Knowledge of safeguarding adults at risk procedure.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office; willingness to learn internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, customer-led service.
• Support customers in provision of service and supported housing.
• Maintain dignity and promote wellbeing in a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Encourage independence and social activities.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Recognise distress and assist promptly.
• Liaise with families, GP and health/social care professionals.
• Ensure confidentiality of customer information.
• General cleaning and security duties.
• Undertake training and development.
