Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Sheltered Housing Officer to join the Housing Team on a full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality housing management and support across sheltered housing schemes, building trusted relationships with residents and helping create safe, welcoming communities where people can live independently.

The role covers tenancy management, inductions, viewings, wellbeing checks, alarm and safety checks, inspections, and collaboration with Adult Social Care, Health

Formación

• Experience of delivering housing management, sheltered housing or similar customer-focused service.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with older and vulnerable residents.
• Experience managing a varied caseload and balancing priorities.
• Ability to identify support needs and work with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management, safeguarding and social housing practice.
• Experience undertaking property, estate or health and safety inspections.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and housing management systems.
• Compassionate, proactive approach to supporting customers and delivering high-quality housing services.
• Commitment to promoting independence, wellbeing and thriving communities.

Responsabilidades

• Provide housing management across sheltered schemes and support residents.
• Undertake tenancy inductions, viewings, tenancy sustainment and wellbeing checks.
• Manage alarm systems and health and safety/compliance checks.
• Collaborate with Housing colleagues, Adult Social Care, Health partners and voluntary organisations to coordinate interventions.
• Engage residents, respond to enquiries and use data to improve services.
