Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Part-time Band 3 Patient Administrator for the Outpatients Reception, covering Maternity and Gynaecology. You will provide a patient-centred reception service, support clinical teams, and help maintain efficient patient flow in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires prior reception experience, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide a customer focused reception service in Outpatients.
• Support delivery of high quality care by welcoming patients.
• Handle queries from patients and relatives with confidentiality.
• Refer clinical queries to appropriate staff.
• Update patient details on PAS and ensure accurate demographics on arrival/departure.
• Oversee junior staff and provide training to new starters.
• Arranging interpreters and transport where indicated.
• Adhere to trust procedures and participate in development of administrative processes.
