Job summary

The Florey Sexual Health Clinic at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Band 2 Receptionist to join our busy Reception team in Reading. You will be the first point of contact, greet patients and visitors, and manage appointment bookings in a sensitive clinical setting.

The successful candidate will have GCSE English and Maths, call centre or customer service experience, and good computer literacy including Microsoft packages.

Qualifications

• GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
• Call centre experience
• Customer care or related experience; Knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Computer literacy and reception experience in a customer service setting
• NHS administrative environment experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced NHS administration environment
• Experience with patients with differing healthcare needs
• Excellent communication and data entry accuracy

Responsibilities

• Booking appointments.
• Greeting patients and visitors at the Outpatients department.
• Carrying out an effective telephone triage booking service.
• Work individually and as part of a team.
