Job summary

Life Services Group operates John Duggan Funeral Directors in Widnes and is seeking a Funeral Service Specialist (Level One) for 20 hours per week. You will lead branch day-to-day work, support families with compassionate guidance, and assist with funeral plans and ceremonial duties with training.

The role requires empathy, strong organisation and the ability to manage admin tasks while building local relationships in the community.

Qualifications

• Empathy and discretion in sensitive situations.
• Experience in customer service or admin is beneficial.
• Confident with legal paperwork and office software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and presentation.
• Arrange funerals meeting family wishes and legal requirements.
• Build relationships with local partners and communities.
• Lead chapel visits and ceremonial duties when needed.
• Raise awareness of funeral plans and contribute to sales.
• Train in Funeral Conducting for peak times.
