Life Services Group is hiring a Funeral Service Operative (Level One) at Wolstenholme Funeral Directors in Accrington. You will care for the deceased with dignity, support Funeral Directors, and manage ceremonial tasks alongside on-call duties.

The role requires empathy, resilience and a full UK driving licence, with full training provided. This is a permanent, full-time position offering benefits and on-call responsibilities.

Qualificações

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Empathetic, professional and composed under pressure.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours and handle sensitive situations.
• Comfortable working directly with the deceased and families.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dignified, professional care for the deceased.
• Support Funeral Directors with seamless service and ceremonial work.
• Drive and maintain specialist vehicles (hearses, limousines, private ambulances).
• Keep vehicles and facilities presented to a high standard.
• Join the on-call rota (including nights/weekends).
• Prepare the deceased to family, religious or cultural wishes.
• Support chapel visits and family interactions calmly and respectfully.
