Job summary

Lincolnshire Co-op is seeking a Funeral Arranger to guide families through the funeral planning journey with compassion and professionalism. You’ll coordinate services, communicate clearly and ensure every farewell reflects the life being remembered.

You’ll work closely with Celebrants, Crematoria and local authorities, while handling documentation and providing sensitive aftercare support. Training is provided, making this a meaningful start to a rewarding career.

Qualifications

• No prior Funeral Services experience required; training provided.
• Ability to connect with people with empathy and kindness.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail; able to stay calm and professional in emotional situations.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families to plan personalised funeral services, listening with empathy and guiding them through every step.
• Coordinate funeral arrangements from the first enquiry through to the day of the funeral, ensuring every detail is carefully managed.
• Liaise with colleagues and external partners, including celebrants, crematoria, florists and local authorities, to deliver seamless services.
• Prepare and process essential documentation while maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information with care.
• Support families by explaining funeral options, memorials, aftercare services and pre-paid funeral plans with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Help ensure every funeral reflects the wishes of the family while delivering the exceptional standards of care Lincolnshire Co-op is known for.
