Job summary

Chelmsford Star Co-op is seeking a Funeral Advisor to support families and manage the day-to-day running of our funeral homes. You will help arrange services with empathy, ensure clear communication between families and Funeral Directors, and maintain high standards of care and courtesy.

Applicants should be compassionate, detail-focused and able to travel within the area. A full UK driving licence and DBS check are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support families through the funeral arrangement process with empathy and clear guidance
• Arrange funerals with attention to cost and transparency
• Communicate arrangements between families and Funeral Director
• Handle administration with care and accuracy
• Ensure funeral home premises are clean, secure and well maintained
• Promote Funeral Services within the local community
• Build relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, clergy and doctors
• Adhere to statutory and internal policies and DBS requirements
