Chelmsford Star Co-op is looking for empathetic funeral care staff to act as the families’ first point of contact at bereavement scenes, delivering compassionate support with professional service. You will be responsible for the care and presentation of the deceased, ensuring dignity and respect throughout the process.

You will also participate in standby and on-call rotas, and DBS checks apply from 1 December 2023.

Qualifications

• Compassion, empathy and professionalism in caring for the deceased.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support families in difficult moments.

Responsabilités

• Be the families’ first contact at bereavement scenes and build relationships with them.
• Care for the preparation and presentation of the deceased with dignity and respect.
• Participate in standby and on-call rota.
• Hold a full UK Manual driving licence and assist with transfers as needed.
