Job summary

Southern Co-op in Portsmouth is recruiting a Funeral Planning & Central Support Co-ordinator to deliver high-quality end-of-life services. You will handle sales, administration, invoicing, and post-appointment support, ensuring compliant, client-focused outcomes.

The role requires strong customer service, organisational skills, and IT proficiency. You will work with the End of Life Services team to provide excellent service and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service background.
• Experience in an FCA regulated environment (desirable).
• Numerically and financially aware.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• IT literate and a competent user of MS Office.
• Great communication skills with a high level of professionalism and empathy.
• Resilient and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and process funeral plan, website and telephone enquiries.
• Sell, arrange, and administer funeral plans, memorialisation, aftercare, and direct cremation services.
• Administer the funeral bookings process & process purchased funeral plans.
• Administer and facilitate coroner collections, deceased removals, and third-party cremations.
• Produce and process invoices and management information.
• Supporting the wider end of life services teams.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, FCA regulation, statutory legislation, Funeral Director’s Code, and FCA Code of Conduct.
• Engage in community activities, events and support aftercare initiatives.
