Job summary

OurCoop is seeking a funeral care team member to support families during bereavement, acting as the first point of contact and ensuring dignified care and presentation of the deceased. You will work within our funeral team, showing compassion and professionalism at one of life’s most difficult moments.

You will be required to participate in Standby and On-Call rota and must be willing to undergo a DBS check for new joiners in the funeral business.

Qualifications

• Requires compassion, empathy and professionalism in handling bereaved families.
• Must be able to lift and transfer the deceased with care and respect.
• Ability to work as part of a funeral team and coordinate with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Care for families at the scene of bereavement and be their first point of contact.
• Prepare and present the deceased with dignity and respect.
• Participate in Standby and On-Call rota to cover duties as required.
