Job summary

CTRG is seeking a Care Centre Assistant in Reading (RG30 1EA). You will support Funeralcare operations, prepare coffins, maintain vehicles, and assist with housekeeping while showing empathy and discretion in sensitive situations.

Key duties include cleaning vehicles, handling floral tributes, and reporting to management. A full UK driving license is required. The role offers hourly pay and stable shifts, with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean Funeralcare vehicles daily (polish & wax).
• Move ceremonial vehicles within Care Centre grounds (not on public roads).
• Assist in housekeeping in public and private areas; report maintenance to a manager.
• Fully prepare coffins of all types.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Report to Care Logistics Management and follow instructions.
• Comply with health and safety requirements and checks.
• Work with colleagues to promote teamwork and high service standards.
• Maintain a professional and dignified manner.
• Use equipment safely with proper handling techniques to prevent accidents.
