Job summary

CTRG is recruiting for a Funeral Care Centre Assistant in Torquay. The role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:00, paying £12.71 per hour. You will support Funeralcare operations and assist frontline colleagues to help clients say their best goodbye.

The role involves manual handling, vehicle cleaning, coffin preparation, and handling floral tributes with discretion and empathy, reporting to the Care Logistics team and ensuring health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Clean Funeralcare vehicles on a day-to-day basis including polish & wax routine.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within the Care Centre grounds (no public road driving).
• Assist in general housekeeping in both public and private areas, report maintenance to a manager.
• Fully prepare all types of coffins.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Report to the Care Logistics Management team and respond to instructions.
• Ensure full compliance with Health and safety requirements and checks.
• Work with colleagues to promote teamwork and maintain high standards of service.
