Job summary

CTRG Limited in Plymouth is seeking a Funeral Care Centre Assistant to support our client at PL7 1SR. You will help maintain a respectful environment and assist with daily care tasks.

Key duties include cleaning and polishing vehicles, moving ceremonial vehicles within the grounds, preparing coffins and handling floral tributes with care. You will need a Full UK Manual Driving License, good literacy and numeracy, empathy, and the ability to stay calm in emotional moments.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence required.
• Team player with professional relationships.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and approach challenges.
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Discretion and empathy in emotional circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain Funeralcare vehicles on a day-to-day basis.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within the Care Centre grounds.
• Assist in general housekeeping in public and private areas.
• Fully prepare all types of coffins.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Report health, safety and maintenance needs to management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and checks.
