Job summary

CTRG is hiring a Care Centre Assistant in Colchester (CO61JE). Monday to Friday, 09:00–13:00, paid at £12.71 per hour. You will support Funeralcare operations, prepare coffins, handle floral tributes, and help maintain a clean, respectful environment for clients and colleagues.

The role involves some manual handling, teamwork, and high standards of care to help clients say their goodbyes with dignity.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and support colleagues in a sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean Funeralcare vehicles daily, including polish and wax.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within Care Centre grounds (no public road driving).
• Assist housekeeping and report maintenance needs to a manager.
• Prepare coffins and handle floral tributes with care.
• Follow health and safety requirements and checks.
• Support Care Logistics team and respond to instructions.
• Promote teamwork and maintain professional, dignified service.
