Job summary

CTRG is hiring a Funeral Care Centre Assistant in Woolwich, E18 5NS, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour, Monday to Friday 10:00–16:00. The role supports frontline Funeralcare operations and behind-the-scenes tasks, helping clients during difficult times.

Responsibilities include vehicle cleansing, preparing coffins, handling floral tributes, housekeeping, and reporting to the Care Logistics Management team while adhering to safety standards. Drive license required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving License is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Team player with ability to build professional relationships.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills used as required.

Responsibilities

• Clean Funeralcare vehicles on a day-to-day basis including polish & wax routine.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within the Care Centre grounds (no public road driving).
• Assist in general housekeeping in both public and private areas, report maintenance to a manager.
• Fully prepare all types of coffins.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Report to Care Logistics Management and respond to instructions.
• Ensure compliance with Health and safety requirements and checks.
• Work with colleagues to promote teamwork and high standards of service.
• Maintain a professional and dignified manner.
• Use appropriate equipment and safe manual handling to prevent injuries.
