Job summary

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust seeks a friendly receptionist/clerical team member to help ensure the smooth running of our busy Emergency Department. You will provide a professional and compassionate service to patients, families, and medical staff in critical moments, reporting to the Deputy Divisional Manager.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, supporting resus, registering with Careflow PAS, directing patients, and maintaining confidentiality while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent experience.
• Public-facing role with general office responsibilities.
• Enthusiastic and compassionate with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Team player with a desire to contribute to care and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming reception service for patients, ambulance staff and visitors.
• Support resus situations by taking essential patient details.
• Register patients and ensure accurate data entry in the Careflow PAS system.
• Direct patients to appropriate areas and answer questions with excellent customer service.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professionalism in challenging situations.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
