Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clerical Officer to join the Emergency Department reception on a permanent basis. The role involves supporting patients, families and medical staff in a fast-paced environment, with flexible hours across a 24/7 rota.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English required.
• ECDL or equivalent digital literacy.
• Experience in general office duties and public-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming reception service for patients, ambulance staff and visitors.
• Support resus situations by taking essential patient details.
• Register patients and ensure accurate data entry in the Careflow PAS system.
• Direct patients to appropriate areas and answer questions with excellent customer service.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professionalism.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
