We’re looking for a proactive and confidentCommunity Safety Officerto join our team. This role plays a key part in helping us create safer neighbourhoods by tackling anti‑social behaviour, supporting residents, and working closely with partners to resolve community safety concerns.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing community safety cases, including reports of anti‑social behaviour, neighbour disputes and environmental concerns.
- Working directly with residents to investigate issues, agree actions and provide clear updates throughout each case.
- Using a range of interventions to resolve problems, including warnings, agreements, referrals and legal remedies where appropriate.
- Carrying out visits, interviews and risk assessments, ensuring safeguarding and personal safety are always prioritised.
- Working closely with internal teams and external partners such as the police, local authorities and support agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Keeping accurate case records, preparing reports and contributing to performance monitoring and service improvement.
What we’re looking for
- Experience working in community safety, housing management, ASB, enforcement or a similar frontline role.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging conversations calmly and professionally.
- Confidence working independently, managing a varied caseload and making sound decisions.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and health & safety when working in the community.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including accurate record‑keeping and reporting.
- A flexible approach, including willingness to work occasional evenings where required.
- Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel independently).
Additional Information
- The successful applicant will be required to complete abasic DBS checkdue to the nature of the role and contact with residents.
