Job summary

RGB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a leading housing association across Exeter on a 12-week temporary contract. The role covers neighbourhoods across the city, with duties including tenancy enquiries, permissions, sign-ups and property viewings.

You will investigate tenancy breaches, support residents, and work with contractors and partners to resolve issues. The post is 25 hours per week, paying £18.67–£20.75 per hour, starting 7 December 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing is essential.
• Knowledge of tenancy and estate management.
• Experience with safeguarding concerns.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• CIH Level 4 or willingness to work towards.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work independently across the Exeter patch.

Responsibilities

• Manage a designated housing patch across Exeter, delivering frontline housing services.
• Handle tenancy enquiries, permissions, sign-ups and property viewings.
• Investigate tenancy breaches and safeguarding concerns.
• Carry out estate inspections and maintain neighbourhood standards.
• Work with residents, contractors and partner agencies to resolve issues.
• Support resident engagement and community development initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of tenancy and estate management.
